Electric
cars have been around with us since the nineteenth century and were at the
forefront of the automobile revolution before gasoline-powered internal
combustion engine sporting cars came to dominate the world for more than a
century. That unfortunately played a large role in the environmental
catastrophe that the world now faces. But the emphatic return of electric cars
as a viable personal transportation option has turned the clock back and we are
not really very far from the day when electric cars will replace fossil
fuel-burning and environment-degrading ICE (Internal combustion engine)
sporting ones.
While
electric cars may have made it to mass production only recently, there have
been quite a few highly successful electric cars over the years, some of whom
have achieved iconic status. Let us get a lowdown on the top 15 all-time
